Diese kommen durch die verminderte Aufnahme von wasser- und fettlöslichen Vitaminen zustande. Vitamin B1-Mangel führt zu Beriberi und zum Wernicke-Korsakoff-Syndrom mit Ophthalmoplegie, Nystagmus, Ataxie und Verwirrtheit. Vitamin B12-Mangel kann eine sensorische Neuropathie mit spinaler Ataxie, Einbußen der geistigen. Leistungsfähigkeit, Opticusneuropathie und eine perniziöse Anämie zur Folge haben. Clinical, radiological, neurophysiological, and neuropathological characteristics of gluten ataxia
Ataxia is the commonest neurological manifestation of coeliac disease. Some individuals with genetic susceptibility to the disease have serological evidence of gluten sensitivity without overt gastrointestinal symptoms or evidence of small-bowel inflammation. The sole manifestation of disease in such patients may be ataxia. We describe the clinical, radiological, and neurophysiological features of this disorder.
